Hi.  I am relatively new to this association and am considering attending the National Conference.  Would this be valuable to attend in person?  Thanks

    Hi Donna,

I'd recommend joining us in person if you are interested! There are others flying into Prince Edward Island as well. There are flight and hotel rates. AAP has a letter for employees that speak to the value of attending. There is often an energy that comes with joining others at a conference! There is a great lineup with fun things you can participate in while there. If you have any further questions, I'm happy to chat further or send more details.

    Kind regards,

    Caitlyn Hamblin

Thank you everyone for your insight to this conference. I am very interested in attending in person and am submitting the request to see if my employer will help with the costs.

My question is this: Does anyone know what is included in the all-in price?
It is a difference of $116 (or $121 after the early pricing deadline); I could not find specifics on the brochure.

    Thanks again!

I am coming from Calgary, Alberta along with a handful of board members and branch members, there is nothing better than attending these events in person!  You can cultivate life long connections, network and learn so much more when your in an environment surrounded by like-minded people.  Hope to meet you in person!!

    Hello Donna,

I too totally recommend attending in person.

I have been a member for many years and attended at least 90% of all NAGMs in person.  Most times, we make it a family vacation by adding a few days before or after the AGM activities.  Yes, the family will need to entertain themselves while you are busy with meetings:
    1. Workshop
    2. National Board meeting (perhaps attend the morning session - this gives you a sense of the discussions around decisions).
    3. NAGM - a must for members as your participation is important
    4. QAA luncheon - nice to do

I heard that PEI is the place to visit.
